The numbers aren't necessarily 123456 but it is three numbers an X and another three numbers

X in the middle means embassy employee,whilst D in the middle means diplomat.Both plates mean that the vehicle is sovereign state and the occupant has diplomatic protection.

Sorry guys - close, but no cigar.

Diplomatic plates have a 'D' in the middle - nothing else.

I think youre example MAY just be a foreign plate, but I will personally apologise if Im proved incorrect

It is indeed a CD ('Corps Diplomatique') registration number issued to the vehicles of foreign dignitaries.

They did used to be immune from prosecution - not sure if they still are, though...

It is registered to a forgein diplomat or an embassy. Seems the are immune to prosecution.

Yes but X is used for _consular_ registrations.
