To be honest, apart of the great sound it has, I think it is not THAT special. But what's your opinion? Thanx

I love the Beatles, but I didn't like this one very much. I agree with you about the sound, it's amazing. But to mix up the songs isn't something I really like, though it's very exciting. I prefer the 1 and Let It Be... Naked cd's. They're far great!

The sound is magnificent. Hopefully they will reissue the albums soon. That out of the way, I would say it is a solid 3.5 star effort - some moments are amazing, where they combine different bits to come up with something totally new. At other times, they just seem to settle into the song and stay with it for a while. Maybe it turned out that way because the Beatles songs are just so seductive. The new string arrangement George Martin did for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is worth the price of admission and all the more poignant because he says it is the last music he'll ever write. In the end it is a lot of fun and definitely essential for the Beatles fan. However, it is not as crucial as the Anthology series.

Its a digital re-issue of a two-album release called, "The Beatles: Love Songs" back in the early 80's. With all the the re-issuing of Beatles music you would think they recorded more that the 218 songs they actually released during their 7-year commercial "career".

I have not been able to listen to it yet as I do not want to be dissapointed with the remix.
As I die hard McCartney/Beatles fan, I usually do not like it when they are messed around with. If anyone could do a good job though, Martin should.
I will eventually break down and give it a try.

If you mean, from a technical aspect, you're right. it's not hard at all to play. It could have been written by a high school garage band. But there are lots of simplistic song that are truly great, because they are performed with a straightforward integrity and honesty that most music today lacks. that song still gives me chills when I hear it. It's fantastic.

I think they did an awesome job on all of their songs whether they made sense or not. They were great. Some of their songs I think relate to doing drugs as they did do them for a spell. But all in all, I love each and every one of their songs.

I enjoy it. But the original albums, even more.
