What do you mean by "a comeback"? Non playoff team making the playoffs next year? Sub-.500 team breaking .500? I'm going to assume the latter, since there were a lot of strong teams that were one win short of making the cut this year, and making it next year wouldnt be a "comeback" per se.

My votes go to the Bay Area teams - the Niners D showed signs of brilliance at times last year, being able to force turnovers at big times and feed on them like Chicago does. The offense is also maturing rapidly - Alex Smith seems to have gotten his sea legs, and his O line is buying him a little more time, so he's able to keep off his back. If Smith continues to mature next year, and Vernon Davis can stay healthy, I think they have the potential to become a good ball-control offense in the mold of San Diego, with a strong running game behind workhorse Frank Gore like Tomlinson did for the Bolts, and an athletic, ball-catching tight end able to make big plays and give the QB a safety valve down the middle of the field like Gates does for Rivers. If Bryant can fix his alligator arms, that gives them a good deep threat as well.

The Raiders dont have many problems on D either....they're able to force the turnover as well, with Asomugha up with the top of the league in interceptions and their pass defense rated #1. With the top draft pick, they'll hopefully be able to upgrade their offense, which frankly really has nowhere else to go but up at this point....their defense will be able to keep games close like they did last year, so scoring just another 10-14 points a game will probably be enough to bring them from 2 wins up to 8 or 9. Hopefully the new coach will be able to work some of that USC offensive magic on Sundays.

The Steelers, Titans, Chargers and Saints. The Steelers had a bad year cause Big Ben had a rough preseason, missed training camp and Cowher wasn't there at heart. He knew he was going to retire and didn't commit to playing to win. The Titans will be better with Vince Young having a year under his belt. The Chargers have a lot to prove and L.T. is on a mission to get a ring and the Saints will only improve on last season.

I think the Cowboys will make a huge comeback next year with their new coach, if they can get rid of T.O. Two other teams I think that may make comebacks are the Raiders and the Lions.

I'd keep an eye on the Tennessee Titans for sure. Rookie offensive player of the year and he gets to start the whole season. Watch out! Reggie Bush, who's that! Go Packers, Brett's back, and he's on a mission!!!!!

The Chiefs and Giants were in the playoffs, no comeback needed, they are good already.

The 49'ers and Cardinals will be the surprises of 2007/08 season.

Raiders, Titans, Jets, Steelers all blow. You guys are just fans of those teams. None of them have any potential at all. I like how the Bengals and Broncos look for next year. Lots of young talent on those teams and they almost made it this year.

Cowboys? Are you kidding me they put together a team of everybody else's rejects. The Patriots are showing what a modern day dynasty is made of. My seahawks are doing pretty good too. I expect them to do good again next year.
