Do you make more money on a part time job or making your own side business?

I have a full time job as a Test Engineer but i need more cash, do you think making my own business on the side would make me earn more money or should i just go and apply at an other company for part time work?

i mean on the long run what would help me earn more money, lot of people tell me if i make my own business i spend more and probably wont make as much as a part time but other people tell me its the way to go ..what do you think?

We have a lot of people who make money on the side with our business. It is a simple system that requires a little work, but even someone with little time can do it. I make about $500 - $1000 extra a month, but am working my way up to go full time. I can send you the website if you are interested in taking a look.
