Is the criminal mind inborn or acquired? Is homosexuality of a genetic or environmental factors? Granted that two Identical twins were separated at birth. Describe each personality when one is brought up in an affluent home but without love versus one with a loving but poor family life. How does plurality in a family affect the personality make-up of an offspring. or that of an only child? Democracy versus Communism! Is the Death penalty or are stricter legislation laws, a deterrent for crime?
Does the welfare system corrupt the lazy American? Why does the typical American have a bum rap of an image around the world?

Design and implement experiments to determine to what extent lay people will believe psychologists / psychology students when they claim, in psychological terms, that a person the lay people know, is mentally ill...complete with label and warnings.
How far will these lay people go to "observe" (videorape) this supposedly mentally ill person? In order to "prevent suicide" will they observe this person, without her consent or knowledge, in her car?..kitchen?..living room?..bedroom?..bathroom?
From personal experience, I can tell you that everyone will join in on the videorape, everyone will believe everything the "experts" say. They will destroy every facet of the person's life in the name of "helping" her. There will be no exceptions. They are lambs led to the slaughter.

They had a good one on 20/20 where a girl friends and boy friends fought in public just who would step in and help the girl. Another one they did was a mink coated rich lady was drinking from a bottle of whiskey or something and was trying to get her children in the car so she could take them somewhere. Just and idea.

Start a line of people going towards a wall on a busy downtown street.. Watch how many people join the line. My brother did this for a college course and seventeen joined the line and had no idea why they did.

I always thought perceived control was a great topic. I am not sure how it would be set up. But finding out if people act differently when they perceive they are in control of a situation as opposed to having no control over the outcome of a situation.

Have everyone in a room that people enter often sit down and take off their shoes and coat. Fold the coat on the floor and place the shoes on top of them. Watch and see how many people come in and follow suit and then ask them why.
