think about the gay story lines comin out in both Hollyoaks and Corrie?
And how do soaps manage to get the same sort of storylines at the same time? Not just the one I just mentioned but also the one with Honey in deadenders and Claire in corrie with the post-natal depression. (Just examples but there have been a few over the years)
Apart from Emmerdale whos storylines always seem a bit far fetched and dramatic for my tastes!!!

Yeh, I notice that a lot with Home & Away and Neighbours. Maybe they share writers (unlikely) or maybe they have moles stealing ideas from one another...ooh how exciting...the dangerous life...

I could never get into the groove of Everybody Loves Raymond. I always felt it was a bit overrated. Raymond was a whiner and a complainer, pure and simple. But the show did have a very talented cast. I go with Everybody Hates Chris because I do enjoy Chris Rock's narratives in the show and his hands on approach has made the most successful program the UPN network ever had.

Emmerdale is the only soap worth watching. Far fetched? We live in real life, when I watch the telly I want to be entertained! The humour in Emmerdale is top notch. The drama can have me on the edge of my seat and in tears at the same time! Bring on Paul and I'm drooling in my dinner! I love it, it's fab!

I've gone right off the soaps. i don't watch them anymore. the storylines as you say are so far fetched its ridiculous. Have you noticed how they follow one another, if someone's gay or dies in 1, a week later the same storyline appears in another.

All soaps seem to be now are permanent b*tch fights.
I'm getting fed up with "Who killed Tom King?" on Emmerdale and Tracy-Charlie story line.
And now to cap it all of, Kev on Eastenders has gone missing...

Cant they make any better storylines?

I think sometimes they go with news headlines, I'm sure racism will be an issue in the coming months, after BB.

yeah, same as neighbours and home&away, both had babies getting kidnapped. Corrie and eastenders had murders, (Did
pauline get murdered?). They all copy one another.

the worst one was a few weeks ago..

it was who killed pauline in 'enders, who killed tom in emmerdale and who killed charlie in corrie.

It's planned, so they can do direct comparisons with their ratings.
