How on earth do I get rid of the spare tyre round my middle?

I eat healthily, have cut out fizzy drinks and chocolate etc, have increased the amount of exercise I take. I walk about 5km a day (I have a pedometer)

Please don't advise me to join a gym - I don't have the time or money to do it!

What else can I do? Is it possible that it's a medical reason? It's only happened since I came off the Pill. It's driving me mad - I've had to go and buy loads of new clothes in a bigger size!!!

Bring back the chocolate haven't you heard it's good for you!

Going off the Pill can do things like that.

Jog in place while watching the tube. Don't Believe me?
Try it in front of the mirror and you'll see the jiggle. I started for 2 minutes and in a week went to 20 minutes. I have TiVo so I cut the commercials and watch a program.
The results don't stop with the tummy, the thighs, calves and buttocks tighten too.
Add a small bar-bell and the arms get a little as well.

You need to eat more. You're exercising A LOT and not eating nearly enough, even for a sedentary person. If you're just looking to tone, maintain your calorie consumption. Your muscle will still develop. , What book are you reading? And even still, I would go more off of your waist to hip ration. Divide waist/hip, and check the number. Muscle weighs more than fat, and everyone is built differently. I weigh more than I look, because I have very muscular legs. Your resting heart rate and BP are also great indicators of cardivascular health (which is more important than the number on the scale as well!) Also, I would do your waist measurement first thing in the morning after using the bathroom. You don't want water weight/bloating after meals affecting your measurement.

Cut out meat, dairy, oils, sugar. Focus on whole gains, limit to two fruits a day (to lose the spare tire). Focus on filling up on a lot of fresh veggies too which are low in calories. Do not STARVE yourself. Eat until you are full. For quick weight loss focus on yams, potaoes and corn, squashes and yellow vegetables which all very low caloric density and they fill you up. Sorry, no butter or sour cream or cheese on the potatoes. I've eaten this way, you gain health, lose weight. You can excercise as much as you want but if you continue on the Standard American Diet (or English diet) SAD, you won't lose the middle. Good luck to you and check out the cited source on-line.

obese people lose weight faster then overweight ones why is that?
Men lose weight faster then women, why is that?
U cant get rid of it because you are thin, your body has adapted to those foods and exercise. Now you need to do core training and switch to using weights.
