Didn't that shark die after they captured it or something?

[sigh...] Not all species evolve. In fact, most evolve to go extinct. 99% of all the species that have ever lived on this planet have gone extinct. So much for being intelligently designed. Anyway, if an animal doesn't have much in the way of genetic variability, one can't expect too much in the way of evolkutionary changes. These "rock rats" live in small communities and are only found where limestone rocks are. It is unlikely that the selective pressures on them require evolutionary change, or they would either adapt accordingly or go extinct. And who says they didn't evolve a bit compared to their fossils from 11 million years ago? They likely did, although it wasn't discussed much in the article. Several other "living fossils" have been discovered, like the Coelacanth. What most articles do not discuss, and what most people don't know, is that the Coelacanth that exists today has distinct differences from its fossil ancestors. So, if you are insinuating that because one species, or certain species, have not evolved enought, then evolution is untrue, you are quite wrong. And very misinformed. Those creationist sources of yours are lying to you. El Chistoso

What a beautiful set of teeth! What gorgeous gills! Lovely sinuous grace! Although it really didn't look very well.
Another site shows a diver swimming with the shark; the shark reacted pretty sluggishly, considering it's not used to humans.
Swimming with its mouth open as usual.
We're lucky to have seen it.

This shark is amazing, it's like half shark, & half eel,the gills are sooo weird! Humans do not even realize what is actually out in the deep blue!

It was dieing anyway. that's why it was in shallow water so far from its natural habitat in the deep.
