Come to think of it, most of the old school stuff i of a cleaner nature. It just shows the downward spiral of hip-hop today. You need to be flashy, obscene and generally trashy to be a hit. Some of it is the MTV phenomenon, where videos get requested because of the song itself, but because of the booty on display during the song.

Take the stuff played by Pussycat Dolls, for instance. Without the videos they are not that good. Same goes for Cash Money, BirdMan, Chamillionaire...should I go on?

It's all about the sex. And the only way to introduce sex into hip-hop is through the lyrics and the videos.

Enough said. You make your choices about what music you buy, and what your values are. At the end ofthe day, all you have to show is your character.
