Though we'd like to think Kim is insane, he's not. He seems to be an evil man, from what we're told, but he hasn't performed any of his stunts without calculation beforehand, when the Chinese pressured him to halt a 2nd nuclear test, he did. To the point, the question should be "Why shouldn't the U.S use force in North Korea?"
The answer is quite obvious. Our world may end. Other countries would inevitably be sucked into the war. China will not allow the U.S any closer to their border. Think of the outrage we'd have in America should evil Hugo Chavez assemble an army, march on Mexico, and be on our doorstep. Ha! We have such double standards here in America. We have become intolerant of other cultures, or really just anyone that disagrees with us.
China would have to intervene. Also, since N.Korea has nukes now, if their regime's existence were threatened, they'd use them. We'd have to counter with our own nukes. It would be a huge blunder, since they have nukes already, and the technology to launch them to Japan, or other allies of the U.S, drawing more countries in the fight regardless. We attacked Saddam because he was vulnerable, the rest of our enemies have learned the lesson, get nukes, and you're pretty safe from a preemptive attack.
Overall, unless we know for sure that they are about to nuke our troops there, unprovoked, or some other condition in which they are the clear aggressor, why bother? The likely/potential consequences are a little too spooky for us to stick our hand in the bee hive with no honey to retrieve.

yours is more than a question. it is loaded. and it is mis-guided. USA is looking at all options when a country specially like north Korea plays around with nuclear bombs and armament. we have enough intelligent people in the administration that advise the president and his staff...the real meaning of that kind of a danger. just for the record "should" has not been used. so i think it would be best to watch the events unfold --in due course of time. hope it helps. it should.

No. The United States needs to mind its own bloody business and stop playing international policeman.

We shouldn't. It is easier to just let them starve to death. It would take too much money to deal with them while we are in Iraq.
