Why call? If they are interested in interviewing or hiring you, they will call.That's their job. If you call you could seem pushy and desperate. That could raise red flags in your potential employer's mind.

If it's been a week then go ahead and call them. Ask if they have any questions about your qualifications or experience. Tell them you're excited about the opportunity and would like the chance to interview if there is an opening.
