If the Iranians had killed as many of our soldiers as the Americans have we would be kicking the Iranians asses right now.

While the wheels of justice turn very slow I would not be afraid to say that these guys will made examples of and while I think it will take time I do strongly believe that the hammers of justice will come down extremely swift. The Air Force has been in some stuff in the last few years (academy) and we as a nation set back and witnessed those crimes go unpunished as they should and could have been ,with that stink still in the air this will turn to a huge thing internationally and we the people will demand justice be done and the prosecutors already know this. They will be booted out and stripped of everything they've worked for all their lives plus they will pull time hopefully not in a military jail they have too many people alike in there but regular prison where they can make friends with those big dudes named Tiny and such

Did you expect them to be summarily shot in the head immediately? Even military personal deserve their day in court and a competent defense. Just because someone went on the news and said they didn't follow procedures does not make it necessarily true. If they are guilty of something the military court is much harsher than civilian and favors the prosecution. They will be punished of they were wrong.

I feel for the victem and his family...but - "War is hell", right? It's my understanding that the US pilots thought for some reason that they were firing on hostiles...freindly fire is almost always a sad mistake. In combat where split-second decisions are often required, in a kill-or-be-killed situation, it can be easy to make that mistake.

Murder is not the right term. They were cleared in by the ground controllers. following weapons release they realized the mistake. Their actions were not malicious in nature.
