This person I know took some last pictures of her dog while it was dying, and when she had them printed there was a blue light around the dog, and it wasn't around any other object - she took a picture of her cat alone at the same time with the same camera and there was nothing either. it can't be the lighting because she changed angles each time. Is it possible that this could be the dog's soul escaping?

Possibly. I saw a program before where people were investigating ghost stories and the cameras seemed to show this little patch of light flying around the room. It happened in videos as well, and it wasn't just once. Also, it was dark and there were no mirrors or reflective surfaces around so it wasn't just a flash. And the cameras weren't broken either. Yeah, an escaping soul seems logical (does that even make sense? when did we prove there was such a thing as a soul to make it logical? Oh well, if you believe in them, like I do, then it's your choice)

Is it 'possible'? Almost anything is 'possible', but that doesn't make it likely. MOST likely it was a one-time glitch in either the picture capture process or the printing. More than 90% of the time, the most likely answer to a question is right.

In my opinion it was the dogs dying aura, or it may have been his soul hanging on to the body desperately.

I would like to think it is possible. It's a comforting thought for someone who loses a person or pet they love.
