Gee, do you think you'd be proud of your son grew up to be exactly like this man? He sounds like a drunk.
I suggest you attend a few months of Al-Anon

What I would do ( I don't know how much this matters but) is tell him that he has so long ( what every you decide is enough time) to get his act together. That he needs to start helping pick up the house and stop drinking. And everything else that he should do but not doing. At the end of that time either kick him out or move out yourself. Do you really what you child growing up with that guy as his role modal. If it was me NO WAY. Sorry to be so straight forward but guys that don't take care of their family is my pet peeve.

My first impression is that you really don't have a future with this guy. It seems that you're coming up with very little positives to justify being with him. Don't worry about becoming a statistic, who cares, all that matters is that you are happy. If there are problems with his behavior now, there's no telling where it could lead to. Be strong and find a person that you KNOW you will be happy with for a very long time.

He is wrong, if his drinking has cost him his license. He is rude and nasty when he is drinking then he needs help. If he will not seek help. Take your little boy and run, it will only get worse . Don't stick around and see him ruin your son's life and yours in his drunken rages. Go to AA and get help for you and your son.
He needs to be the one that straightens his life out and you can not do it for him.

Talk to him and let him know he needs to change for your
sake and your son's sake and give him time. However
you can't wait for ever and when you see he won't then
you need to go on with your life so you and your son will
go on without inteference such as you have now.

Leave now, while you're still young and can get your life going in the right direction. Good intentions mean nothing. Actions speak volumes.

You can't make him stop drinking and be how you want him to be, he has to do this on his own. The alcohol has alot to do with the change in his personality but until he realizes it, you will continue to suffer his out burts. You need to take care of yourself and your son as kids do not need to see this kind of behavior. He needs to grow up.

Pardon me, but when did he get this way, before or after the baby?
Did you consider this before having a child with him?
