im kinda in a monologue crisis right now and I need help. Im auditioning for to kill a mockingbird two and a half weeks and I still don't have a monologue for the audition. Im fourteen but I can imitate someone older. considering that the speaking role for someone even remotely close to my age in the play is mayella ewell but shes like 17 or 18. So I need a monologue for an older teenage girl that is preferably dramatic and sound good with a southern accent. Any help is more than welcome!

thanks!

Here is the best online resource for monologues. I use it with my drama students.

If you need a comedic one, look for the script of "The Auditioners" on playscripts.com, it has a few good ones in there.
Dramatic, I would go with something maybe from (I'm not sure if there's any monologues in these, but they're excellent shows)
Little Women
The Miracle Worker
Steel Mongolias
Lark

That's all I can think of right now, I hope it helps. Break a leg!

It's not a teenage girl, but look at A Streetcar named Desire or just about anything else by Tennessee Williams if you want something dramatic and Southern.

Teenage girl monolouge (could be done with a Southern accent)- look at the play Her Senior Year- the end dialogue is so moving and awesome!

Dramatic- Anne of a Thousand Days- lots of good monologues there.

Good luck and hope this helps!
