I have 2 degrees one in Marketing and the other in Communications. I have a concetration in broadcasting, but to start off as a Production Assistant or an Administrative Assistant would pay enough for me to live and I have experience in both. What should I do if I dont live there already but need a paying job in place before I move.

I do know my options and I know the what kind of work that I want to do. My question was whether I could find a job before I moved there or would I already have to be living in the city before employers would contact me. I think someone misunderstood my question and thought I didnt know what kind of job I could get with my degrees, and that wasnt it at all. Just clearing that up because they were very rude about something that wasnt even the question I was asking, but thank you to all who gave helpful answers to the question I was asking.

Assuming you mean Los Angeles, and not Louisiana, try latimes.com and check out the help wanted classifieds and make some calls and fax some resumes.

Good luck.
