Each camera is a little different, but most come with a usb cord to connect your camera to your pc. From there you usually change your camera from shoot mode to transfer or review mode, again ther terminology is slightly different for each camera. Then you can use your software that came with the camera to pull the pics off. Also, Google's Picasa and other photo programs will allow you to connect to your camera and pull the pics off. Some camera's may even show up as an individual drive under My Computer and you can open it like a file and pull the pics off. Hope this helps!
