Once!
I was walking home from a party and decided to take a shortcut through the woods near my house. It was the summer solstice, and the moon was bright and full, and although the night was warm there was a veil of fog rising from the pond to the left of my path.
As I walked along I noticed another trail diverging from the one I was following, a trail I had never noticed before. Not being one to be able to resist such tempations, I followed that one instead, abandoning the idea of a shortcut home and giving myself up to the adventure of a warm, moonlit night.
The new path skirted the pond, and led straight into the dewy fog. It was a beautiful walk, but a long one. I started thinking that perhaps I should have just gone home, when in my absentmindedness I tripped over a log on the path. Yelping, I sat down to nurse my twisted ankle and try to see if I could see any stars through the mist. As I looked skywards, pondering the location of the Polaris star, I heard a rustle and a quiet whicker.
Naturally, this frightened me, as I thought myself alone, but soon I lost my fear, for a radiant shape was taking shape in the mist; in fact, it seemed to be forming of the clouds themselves.
It took my breath away - it was a unicorn.
Its milky skin aglow, its pearlescent horn almost sparkling despite the muted light, it again whickered softly and took a tentative step towards me.
I recalled what I knew of unicorn lore and, since I was still a virgin then, I invited it to lay its head in my lap.
Slowly, surely, it came forth to kneel and lay its downy head on my folded legs, its depthless eyes gazing up at me with keen understanding and trust.
Dizzy with excitement, almost vibrating with sheer joy, I reached my hand down to stroke its muzzle, knowing I was perhaps the only living person in the entire world to be blessed with such an experience. I reached down to caress its face, and...

I woke up.
And then realized that no, I had just fallen asleep with my vibrator in my lap.

Oh well... it was a nice dream.

Hi

I have seen a unicorn. I awoke one morning and there it was standing in my bedroom.
No I wasn't dreaming as I pinched myself very hard to make sure!!!
I heard "come out into the garden" and then it disappeared.
Well be it bleary eyed I went outside. It was a summers morning and the grass was still wet under my feet.
The unicorn was standing in my garden. I went up to it and could feel its neck warm and soft to the touch. I had a telepathic conversation with the unicorn in which it told me many things.
I am in the process of writing this into a book to be published later this year.
I know that many people will not believe me but this is how it happened.

Okay so I'm sorry if my answer is too long for you. But I can not really answer all your questions because you are the one that needs to answer them yourself. I have not read any of the answers but i bet a few will open your mind. Let me start by telling you my belief and why. I think that there is a God out there somewhere;however, it does not have to be Jesus or anything from the bible. I also do not believe in the bible it is very contradicting and it is written by humans, who make mistakes. I believe this because it just felt really passionate about all these thing in religion. It was hard to find the religion i belonged to and i have found out i don't belong to any. I have my beliefs and im am truly happy. When it comes to heaven and hell, I am living my life being a good person to others I enjoy life but i am not a total savage. If there is a heaven or a hell then so be it. I do not believe that I am a bad enough person to go to hell and I truly can't tell you anything for on the matter because I myself have to see it to believe it. And if there is a hell i wouldn't mind going as long as God has answered my question of "Why everything". My advice is read the bible choose what you believe and that is your religion take parts of other beliefs make it your own or if you go to a christian, catholic, or another church and like it then so be it. It is your choice don't let your friend, family, teacher or anyone change your opinion; just remember its YOUR life, YOUR religion. SORRY AGAIN FOR IT BEING SO LONG. BUT I HOPE I HELPED. I did see one, just the other day in the front yard. It had gotten an empty can of peas stuck on it's head. I knew no one would believe me if I just told them about it so I got the twelve gauge out and put a solid shot in the breach. We had unicorn steaks for a month after that and I had the head taxidermed for the lodge, it looks nice, we went for the green marbles for eyes.

Not only have I never seen a unicorn, NO ONE has ever seen a unicorn. These are mythological creatures. Those who THINK they've seen one are deluding themselves. You DO understand this, right?
