i just stopped using the nuva ring birth control 2 months ago. when i took the ring out at the time of the month that i was supposed to i had a period, that was dec. 28th. i have not had another period since then ( which means i am now 8 days late!) me and my BF use condoms EVERY time with spermicide. could i still be pregnant or is the ring making my period late. i just want your opinion on what you think it could be before i go take a pregnancy test after work. thanks. BTW im 22yrs old and have always had normal periods.

could totally be the hormones from the ring working their way out of your system. 8 days is late, but not that late. it could be stress too - i know that when I stopped taking the pill i was totally stressed about just using condoms. take the test at lunch if you want to calm yourself down. nothing quite like sitting on the toilet at work staring at a little strip waiting for lines not to apprear.

You could be pregnant, no birth control even tubal ligation is100% save for abstinence. Get a pregnancy test. However, it could be an alteration in you menstrual cycle due to some other reason like the Nuva Ring you use to use.

possibly pregnant but its more likely if you use all those precautions to be something else. lots of things can throw your period for a spin, some women under enough stress will simply stop having periods. get a test and if it comes back negative see a doctor.
