I think they didn't know for sure and you might request another US to do a sex check at 7-8 months.
They said the same thing to me. Let me tell you...that doctor sure was surprised when I pushed out a bouncing baby boy!!!

No, that has nothing to do with it. You need to see it. Boys know how to cross their legs. When a girl is seen on an ultrasound the vaginal area is seen as three lines. It is called a cheeseburger. I know awful hu? But that is what is seen. Of course a boy is obvious. But I would have another ultrasound. The doctor I work with had a boy and his legs were ALWAYS crossed. They had a hard time finding out it was a boy.
So, have another one.

Crossing of the legs does not determine the sex of a baby. During an ultrasound, the ultrasonographer looks to see if the baby has a penis. If a penis is visualized, then it is a boy. Lack of a penis means the baby is a girl.
When the baby's legs are crossed, it becomes difficult to see the baby's privates, thus sex determination in not possible.

Just because the legs are crossed does not mean there isnt a boy hiding in there. Seems to me they shouldnt have told you either way unless they were 100% sure.

i change into advised i change into having a lady the toddlers legs were also crossed, I had woman they advised me if legs are crossed & no longer something is "peeking" out they anticipate it truly is a boy, so it truly isn't any guarentee notwithstanding the tech isn't supossed to allow you to already know except they're 80% constructive of the sex. so that you ought to a minimum of have that. good success!

Are you sure they weren't just joking around with you? I had several ultrasounds and they never saw any 'boy parts' so we were just sure it was a girl. Wrongo! He's 12 now.

I wouldn't go by that, the winky could be covered by the leg. Fetuses often cross their legs.
