Two weeks ago, I took 3 pregnancy test (HPT) that gave me a faint positive line. I went to the doctor, whom also also gave me a urine pregnancy test and got a faint line, but declared me a 'pregnant'. A week later my husband and I had sex, but the following day I began to bleed. The bleeding was a little more than spotting, but I only needed one pad for the day. I rushed to ER and the declared it as a threatend miscarriage and placed me on bed rest since my blood level confirmed me being 3 weeks prego. I had no cramping. The bleeding flow remained the same for 2 or 3 days I took another home prego test which gave me a faint positive.
After going to my prenatal appointment, she did a vaginal ultrasound and we didn't see anything. She thinks I'm just too early, so we did blood work again (awaiting the results) but I was anxious, so I bought a home pregnancy digital test, which came out 'not prego'.
what do you think is going on here? I'm thinking a chemical preg. and a period....thx

My period was due on the 20th of January and the first few pregnancy test were a few days before that, which was one idea reason of the faint line. I started bleeding 10 days after my period was due (Jan. 30th) and the bleeding lasted 2 or 3 days (passing very little clots) but still needing no more than a pad a day. I did the vaginal ultrasound yesterday (Feb. 5th) if this helps any...

I think you had a chemical pregnancy and an early miscarriage. If you are more than 2 weeks passed your missed period, something should have been visible in the ultrasound (at least a sac).

It doesn't sound like it is too early, but your dates are not really clear.

It could be that your HCG levels are not high enough yet or your possibly not as far along as you thought..Your doctors should keep doing blood tests i would say weekly to make sure your HCG levels are rising and not falling. If your levels keep getting higher and higher then your good, but if your levels are dropping then that means miscarriage. Also keep monitoring you vaginal bleeding and if the bleeding is accompanied my painful cramps then you rally need to go back to the doctor because your probably having a miscarriage..Try not to worry to much because stress can also cause you to miscarriage, Start taking pre-natal vitamins if your not already. Do what the doctor said and stay in bed, relax, and DO NOT stress. Also have them check your progesterone levels, that is the number one hormone you need duing pregnancy to stay preggo, If your levels are even a little bit low i would suggest using 1/4 to 1/2 of progesterone cream daily for the first 3 months of pregnancy after that it's up to your placenta to release the amount needed to keep the baby

If your doctor has not suggested getting weekly blood tests to watch your HCG levels then I would say find another doctor because he is not doing his job right.

Some of the symptoms i had of miscarriage was Vaginal bleeding longer than 5 days(I bleed for 3 weeks straight), severe lower abdominal pains, lower back pain, huge clots, pregnancy symptoms disappearing.

my cousin was pregnant and they couldnt detect nothing when they did an ultrsound so they wait a week or so and truied it again. she now is about to have a beautiful baby boy in less than a month> If the blood test tested you 3 weeks preggo you most likely are. unless u had a miscarriage. Hope fully not a misscarriage. good luck
