Like you say Cowardly. What on earth is the world coming too when people can't just get on together. This kind of thing never happened when I was younger. There really are some sick people out there. I'd be ashamed to admit I knew anyone like that.

It sounds like some clown with a grudge who is too moronic to realise that the letter would be opened by a clerical assistant, just innocently doing her job. I hope they catch whoever it was and stick a letter bomb up their backside.

Agreed.
It's cowardly, but then so are people who put bombs in litter bins, in cars, on busses etc. There is barely enough expletives in the language to describe such evil people and those who shield them.
It's not warfare, it's attempted murder and nothing less.
