After the Ottomans were defeated the Brits redrew the map of the middle east. Are we still paying for the mistakes made by the British Empire?

Wing you're last two answers to my questions have only made you look like a fool. Why don't you try giving a teeny bit of thought before you answer?

LOL, you are funny.

You don't know much about history do you?

But then most of the British don't get taught this stuff.

The US, forced Britain to give up their Empire. Long before the people were ready to be 'set free'. If they had stayed in charge for a bit longer, perhaps the process of letting the Empire go, which was probably going to happen anyway, would have been a lot more peaceful.

But sadly, the US in their wisdom, made them give it up, and then the US supported dictators, such as Saddam Hussein, and the Sultan of Iran, until things went pair shaped.

Put the blame where it belongs. Read the histories, read what happened, before you put the blame in the wrong places. In the US, we read our history in school, those of us who actually do read history (it is only a few I admit). Then make up your mind. Don't rely on the US government to tell you what history was, they will not tell you. We know this, so we look it up ourselves.

If you want to know the truth, consider this: The majority of the population of the Arab world is under the age of 21 years, and approximately 75-80% of them do not know how to read or write. They are a huge mass of young people who do not have a clue about what it means to live a civilized productive life, and who continue to breed like rabbits. There are no jobs, and nothing to occupy their time in a productive way. Sadly, religion is all they know about, so that in turn is all they care about. It reminds me very much of the so called "dark ages" of medieval Europe, but with AK-47's and rocket launched grenades being used rather than catapults, bows and arrows, and pots of boiling oil. I really don't know what to do to fix it. It certainly has nothing to do with the British, in my opinion.

I can think of another country who armed and funded a radical Islamic terrorist group in the 80s, who also armed and funded a vicious dicatator in the 80s, then acted surprised when both turned out be be dangerous. They then launched an illegal war against the dictator, strengthening the hand of the terrorist group and dramatically increasing instability in the Middle East.

I wonder who that was?

You guys never take responsibility for anything. You sucked the Brits into Iraq now you blame them for the middle east problems.
Blame the Canadians for terrorists passing through there first.
Geographically they have to land there first. Many of them come from Heathrow to get to Canada but they don't blame England.
You make your own problems and its the rest of the world's fault.

Its not the Brits fault that muslims can't get along with members of other ideals and faiths.. let alone members of their own faith. Maybe if they'd stop hating one another you wouldn't have to ask such irrational questions!
