Ive seen all the movies featured in this category, and I, too, was blown away by Ryan Gosling. A great performance. The only thing thats holding him back is that most people didnt see the movie. Lets hope those voting did. He did a great job! In fact, the whole movie was pretty strong.
As for the others, Forrest was inspiring, and O'Toole is a long time favorite of mine. And Will Smith...well hes just great. I wouldnt be surpised if any of them walked away with it. However, I dont really take Mr. Leo seriously since Titanic....he"ll always be "that guy that died in the water" for me...

inmy humblest opinion, the person who should win is Forrest Whitaker for the last king of Scotland. his portrayal of idi amin was so stunning and accurate. no other nominees need to even show up!
