Im sure its not okay to sleep on your stomach
but in the middle of the night i wake up
and find myself on my stomach
i dont mean to do it, but will this hurt my baby?
what could i do?!

What are the best things i should be eating/drinking
right now, i dont know what vitamins i need
and what foods i should be taking in

About two weeks ago
i was getting morning sickness
pretty bad,but it kinda slowed down
and almost stopped about now
does that mean somethings wrong if it stops?

at seven weeks sleeping on your stomach is perfectly fine... and I have been told by drs sleeping on our side is not the end all be all... there won't neccassarily be any problems.. it is just one of those "better safe than sorry" things... and whatever position I could comfortable to enough to sleep? well the sleep is more important than the reason...

the reason to sleep on your side toward middle/end of pregnancy is because the veins/arteries leading to the placenta... laying on your left side allows ensures no compression of either... sleeping on your back is the one the dr prefers we not do not sleep on.. because the vein/arteries "could" become compressed... and cut air, food etc to and from baby.... I could only sleep on my back though for a few pregnancies... and with the drs help? found a way to be able to without the blinding fear I had suffocated my baby even before birth... lol... three pillows behind me propped me just enough to where it was more like I was sitting reclined... mor eunder my legs helped with cramps (in the legs) another on my right side propped me to the left just enough to where the dr counted it as laying on my left side.... ? oh the weird and whacky positions we find in the name of comfort when pregnant... :) do not worry so much.. you have so many months to sleep on your stomach.. enjoy it while you can.... lol....

best things to eat? the closer it is to natural was the rule of thumb I was given... I think it is actually in the book what to expect when you are expecting... maybe it was what to eat when you are expecting.. two books I recommend... example: instead of cake or white rolls for breads group, have wheat bread with fruit... instead of ice cream? frozen yogurt, milk, or the like... just eat the healthier of choices... vitamins, minerals... get extra folic acid... and take your prenatal vitamin (if you have not seen the dr yet and won't be for a while? there is an over the counter that is just as good) eat six smaller meals throughout the day instead of three... get as much exercise as you can without causing injury....

every is fine where morning sickness, or lack of, is concerned too... it might reappear still so enjoy while you do not have it...!

above all? relax... you are going be a great mom going by how concerned you already are for your little one...! but you won't enjoy too much of it or the pregnancy if you spend the whole time worrying.. :)
good luck.. feel free to email if you have questions or concerns... if I can help.. I will.... if I can't? I can lend an ear...

Actually, it's alot worse to sleep on your back. If you sleep in that position you'll cut off most of the oxygen to your unborn baby. It's caused by pressure put on the vena cava.

Foods that are great for you and your baby are dark green leafy vegetables, like collard greens and spinach. Eat a wide variety of fruits and grains. Of course fresh is better.

Foods that aren't as great are sea food. Too much mercury in your diet could cause fetal abnormalities. Limit the use of tuna and if you have a strong liking for other sea food, look up more information on pregnancy websites.

Book an appointment with a doctor/midwife so you can begin keeping track of your unborn's development. You can get an ultrasound to make sure there aren't any deformities.

You can purchase a good pre-natal vitamin at any drug store or local Wal-Mart. Stick to pre-natal, some vitamins other than that have too high of doses of certain chemicals, which of course could be very harmful.

Congratulations on overcoming the morning sickness, you're on your way to happy memories of pregnancy.

Of all the information, the best is to do your research and listen to your own intuition.

Try using a body pillow to stay on your side while sleeping. Put it between your legs and you might now roll onto your tummy.

Drink lots of water, and try to eat small meals. use the food guide to make sure your getting all the required nutirents. You should also get prenatal vitamins. Found at most drug stores. Or ask your doctor for a prescription.

About your morning sickness, your lucky you don't have it as bad. Its normal for it to slow down. You should be happy about not throwing up every day. lol.

Good Luck and congradulations!!

First off congrats on the pregnancy. For that first concern, its okay to sleep on your belly you are not harming your baby. Trust me, as your tummy gets bigger, you won't be able to sleep on your stomach anymore because it just get uncomfortable. The way it works out is, you can't anymore when you shouldn't. One of natures funny little tricks!
You should be taking prenatal vitamins daily. For the rest just think healthy.Juices, water, teas...etc.I honestly believe our bodies tell us what it needs for the baby,we just have to listen. I am currently yogurt crazy!
Be thankful about not having morning sickness anymore, I have heard some women say they had it for the whole pregnancy! I never was sick, thank God!
What it comes down to is, I think the majority of us here are women who have gone through this, are going through this or whatever. I am not a doctor. If your really worried, ask your doc.

THE VITAMIN THAT U SHOULD OF BEEN TAKING ALONG TIME AGO ARE PREGNANT VITAMINS SOLD AT RITE-AID, SAFEWAY, LONGS, AND EVEN WALGREEN'S. U NEED THOSE SINCE THE BABY TAKES ALL YOUR VITAMINS. OF COURSE U SHOULD BE EATING VERY HEALTHY. NO CAFFEINE, SEAFOOD OR ALCOHOL. THE REASON YOUR SICKNESS SLOWED DOWN IS BECAUSE U R ALMOST AT THE 2-3 MONTH MARK. THAT IS NORMAL. ALSO IF FEELING SICK IN THE MORNING HAVE CRACKERS {SALTINES} BY BEDSIDE & BEFORE GETTING UP EAT A FEW. IT CALMS DOWN THE TUMMY!! GOOD LUCK AND GET THOSE VITAMINS!!

congratulations!
it's ok to sleep on your stomach, the baby is very well protected in his "pocket" and does not get hurt that easily. do not worry, when it will be the time for you not to sleep on your stomach anymore, you will know and also you will feel very uncomfortable compresssing your stomach.
if you have already met with your GP, you should know that you should have been taking your folic acid vitamins. in case not, make sure you eat healthy and balanced diet. you may need extra calaories as you go on with your pregnancy, just listen to your body needs. eat your greens, fruits and meat if you are not vegetarian, as your baby needs iron to build his bones and muscles. avoid soft cheese like brie for now, go for hard cheese rather, they are full of calcium and good for you. wash your veggies well before eating them, even if you buy them "ready-to-eat". since your monring sickness has stopped quite quickly, consider yourself lucky, and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy. nothing is wrong with it stopping so early, mine started at 6 weeks, and went on until the 10th week, and now i am perfectly fine.
take your regular three meals and a snack if you feel hungry. drink plenty of water, your body needs fluid, or natural juices if you prefer. avoid supplements and medication unless they are prescribed to you. go for natural food, stay active (walking or swimming) and am sure you will have a beautiful and healthy baby!

ok sleeping on your stomach is not going to hurt the baby this early, its ok right now, you should be taking prenatal vitamins that your ob will prescribe and should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, keep yourself hydrated at all times. its normal for the nausea to slow down, i wouldnt worry about that.
good luck

Sleeping on tummy is ok, as long as your comfy. But when you wake up on your tummy, just roll back to your side.

Take viatmins, eat a healthy variety of foods. www.babycenter.com

Be thankful if your morning sickness goes away early.

Good luck!

stay away from too much caffiene and try to eat lots of fruit and veggies. no sushi or undercooked meat such as tuna or medium rare steaks (americanbaby.com)
