Most people go through the phase of hateing their names. I'm the lucky one in my family. My oldest sister is named Sharpy," yes, like the dog and the blond girl in H.S.M", my older, yet not older than his twin sister, brother is named Greg, my younger sister is named Tara," spell it backwards and you'll get it," and my baby sister is named Gail. They hate there names. I'm not saying mine, but I do love it." No, it's not Tia,"

Sharpy is a cruel thing to name a baby. The rest are okay, I guess and I trust you when you say you love yours. It must be a good one. I hated mine as a kid because of the nick names I got. Squid was one of them. I briefly changed it when I was a senior in high school and had to change schools to a shortened version of my middle name, only for a year and I really regretted that! I love my name now, too. It has become almost popular, too! Think "Alias"!

When I was like 10 or so..I swore I was going to change my name to something a bit more exotic...so i chose Jessica...lol
I told my Mom that i hated my name and couldn't wait to change it....at the time I was being teased relentlessly with the Beach Boys song...Help me Rhonda....to this day..I loath that song..but I like my name. Its not common but not uncommon..and it fits me...otherwise my name might have become the exotic....Jessica

I agree with you. Most people dislike their names at one time or another. Mine is Angela and for some reason it doesn't roll off my tongue easy so I didn't like it for a long time. But I like its meaning so I am beginning to appreciate it.

I never disliked my name... the only thing that ever bugged me is that it could be either a girls or boys name... my brother, on the other hand, has never really liked his name. For what reason, I don't know.

I hated my name all my childhood. No one could say it right and people would make fun of it. Now as an adult I like it. I dont care if people cant say it right, No one else has it so that makes me special :)

Brian, Nathan, Scott. You get the picture. One was my ex-husband who bilked me out of money and put me through he**, one was an ex-roommate who bilked me out of money while being lazy, and one is an ex-fiancee who apparently had no intentions of getting married and stole from me.

I'd be totally happy if I never heard those names again.
