ok so between the dates of jan 11 and jan 15 i was ovulating/fertile [i checked my mymonthlycycles account].. me and my boyfriend had sex about 10 times [without a condom and he pulled out each time - i know, not the best idea] within those days without knowing what was going on inside of me.. i was suppose to get my period on the 28th of jan and its pretty much a week late.. i took a test last wed [jan|31] and it came out negative and my boyfriend told me to take another one this morning to be sure it was right so i did.. this time it was a little weird.. the negative line was really dark and it had a slight "positive" line that was really light and only showed on the top half [it looked like an upside down capital T].. not too sure of results..

Details of my test: there are about 4 lines of dots for - & 1 line of 4 dots in +

im not here to be told im stupid.. im 19 and know what im doing.. just want a reasonable explaination to what this may mean.. thank you in advance!!!

Well, any positive result - no matter how faint, it usually a positive result. If you are unsure about these results, check the box to see if there is a number you can call. Most tests have them. Otherwise, take another test. Pregnancy tests detect if you have the hcg hormone in your urine. The hcg hormone is what your body produces when you are pregnant. The level of this hormone will double every 2-3 days. Most home tests can detect an hcg level of about 50-100. Some tests are more sensitive and can measure a level as low as 25. I bought a test from Dollar Tree and it stated right on the box that it can detect hcg at a level of 25. It's not always the expensive tests that are the best. Good luck.

GO TO THE DOCTOR< BE A FREE CLINIC, just go

Alot easier then asking over and over on here

If it was an EPT those tests have been known to give bad results. Alot of test results in a certain light will show a positive line even if you are negative. Women try to claim false positive because of this. Also if you wait a couple minutes extra it can give a result that is not accurate

Your a week late, go get checked out

O.K. You don't want to be told you are stupid. BUT . . . what the hell are you doing? Unless you want to be pregnant, you had better get a RELIABLE form of birth control. Otherwise, you WILL be a mommy. It is only a matter of time. So keep doing what you are doing - the mommy result is the sure one you are headed for. Now, if you want DIFFERENT results, DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
If you really want to be sure about whether or not you are pregnant - go to your doctor or gynecologist and take a pregnancy test. You know you can only keep playing "Russian Roulette" for so long. I really hate the idea of you bringing either (a) an unwanted child into this world, or (b) putting yourself and your loved ones through either an abortion, or an unplanned pregnancy. GIRL - TAKE CONTROL OF THIS SITUATION. If you are going to have sex, FINE. But GROW UP. Sex, like everything else in this life, has consequences, responsibilities and results. If you think you will get pregnant and the guy will marry you and you will live happily ever after - THINK AGAIN. Or better yet - how about if you just START thinking - just a little bit??????

i took 5 tests all together in the space of two days. EACH and EVERY time the positive line was very faint so i made an appointment with the doctor and the test was also positive. The doctor actually told me that no matter how faint a positive line is its still a pregnancy!! Altho in some very strange cases the woman taking the test has a high lvl of thr HCG hormone however this is very rare and the chances of you having it are very slim. If you have had unprotected sex and ur boyfriend pulled out this doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. The "premature ejaculation" is still sperm therefore will still leave you pregnant >>> All in all make appointment wiv ur doc and take his test to be sure... Good luck to you both!

You are in exactly the same boat I was in (dates and all) 3 years ago. And now I have a 2 year old! I took 4 tests in 3 weeks, all came back negative. If you even have a slight positive, get to the doctor for confirmation so you can start taking your prenatals, or make some decisions. As always, pulling out does NOTHING to ensure you not getting pregnant.

The test I used was a Clear Blue Easy, with the digital readout. I took it twice, both times were positive. When I went to the doctors office, it came back negative, and that's when I told them about my two positives. So they did a blood serum test, and it came back positive. The test at my dr. office was testing for higher amounts of the pregnancy hormone, and since it was still very early in my pregnancy, I hadn't got there yet. So I was really impressed that Clear Blue Easy tested for levels that low...it caught it before my dr office did...but I work at a clinic, and a positive line, no matter how faint, is considered a positive test. A blood serum test at your dr.s office will tell you for sure whehter you are or not...so get yourself to the doctor!

Go digital. Its going to cost a little more but its worth it. You're not stupid at all. Pregnancy is part of life. I got pregnant when i was 20! I took a million test because the positive was very faint I ended up getting a digital one. (with the words) or go to a free clinic and get a blood test. If you have any more questions or if you are pregnant id be happy to help. Best of luck

If the positive came up, you are pregnant. Most tests can't predict pregnancy very early like right now, so the test was confused with what was going on, because you've only gotten pregnant a few days ago. Try again in a few weeks and see what happens.

If you're not sure about the test you took buy a different kind of test and retest. You may get mixed results again. If you do, go and see a doctor. If you can't do that, try the health department in your area they give pregnancy test for free and if it still comes out wierd ask for a pelvic exam. Thats what I'm about to do!!! Also don't freak yourself out and think that you're pregnant, stress can get the better of you to. But I hope this helps you out and good luck!!!!

I suggest waiting a couple of more days and doing the test again. This time make sure the room is at the correct temperature.

Also make sure you do a 'clean catch', that is insert the test strip in the middle of the flow when you urinate.
