and my check engine light came on. This same thing happened to me a couple years ago, and it ended up that when the people changed my oil (this was at a different place) they did something to my Mass Airflow Sensor. So, I took my car back to the dealership today and told them the check engine light came on and that last time this occured it was something with the air filter. After waiting for an extremely long time for them to pull the codes from the computer to see what was wrong they finally came out and told me my Mass Airflow Sensor needs to be cleaned, and my Intake Boot was splitting. They said it just happened over time. I'm having a hard time believing that since this is the second time my whole air take system has been screwed up at an oil change. Am I right to be concerned about whether or not they are telling the truth? Thanks.

When you're having your oil changed, most places also check your air filter, which is why I seem to keep having problems with mine. Maybe in the future I'll tell them to keep their hands off the air filter :)

Actually I have my air filter replaced regularly (I'm not stupid). Just so you know, DJ. I went to the dealer and it turns out someone leaned on it and broke it, since it was obviously not me that leaned on it and broke it then tried to cover it up with duct tape (that's right, they duct taped my car) I'm pretty sure I'm not at fault. Anyway, the part has been ordered at no cost and will be fixed. Thanks for all the answers, except for DJ :)
