yes. if there is not a good contact between the wiring from the alternator to the battery you will notice the battery going dead. you must have a good connection because alot of current flows throgh that wiring and if you dont have a good connection you might only be getting half the charge put back into your battery. clean with a wire brush or you can use baking soda

Corrosion of the battery cables can cause multiple problems, including hard starting and weak charging. Keep them clean and tight for best results.

No, it does not reason battery drain, yet whilst the charging circuit is broken, all electric lots, like ignition, radio, lighting fixtures will drain the battery noticeably rapid. many people do no longer understand that the battery has in basic terms one purpose : to start the vehicle. as quickly as the vehicle is working, the alternator powers all the electrics and quotes the battery back up too.

It will cause a bad connection to your battery and your alternator wont fully charge your battery. Clean the battery terminals with a wire brush.

yes, you need to disconnect your battery, clean the post and cables, a good idea, is to use a baking soda and water, leave the cable ends in the solution for awhile, then brush with a wire brush,, then reconnect your battery.
