Your colon is lined with mucus as is the rest of your digestive system. This mucus lubricates and protects your digestive system lining; it often appears off white or yellowish on the stool. When you defecate some of that mucus escapes with the feces. New mucus is formed and replaces what is lost.

You sound normal; mucus is a normal component of feces; everybody loses some. But, if the mucus appears bloody, you may have a problem in your colon and you should see a doctor. Hope this helps.
