I had the perfect job, so I thought then the bottom fell out and they didn't give me a raise or vacation among many other factors. The job that I thought was perfect was not so I took another job and am working out my two weeks. I have been tired lately, and very irritable and moody, and when I wake up in the morning I really don't feel like getting up. Is this situational depression and will pass once I am out of this hell hole, or am I depressed and need medication? Should I give it time and see if it will pass? I had planned on working this job indefintely then it all went to crap. To top it off.... They put an ad in the paper for my replacement offering them a dollar more an hour than I make!

It's their loss. Leaving your job has opened the door to new opportunities for you. You might not land your "dream job" right away, but it awaits you somewhere in the future. You'll recognize it when the time is right. In the meantime, consider what you're going through to be "temporary" depression. This is very normal and is something that we all go through. Do not immediately seek medication as a solution to your problems. There are too many people who take this route and as a result they have become a new breed of "walking zombies". Try prayer and perserverance instead. Remember, that which does not kill you, serves to make you stronger. This, too, shall pass. Good luck to you, Princess. You can get through this.
