You guessed it. The investment community is enjoying their last big feed as american companies feel the squeeze once again. This makes our economy look healthy because of the way that investments are producing, but the dividends are coming from companies who are firing people and making fewer people work longer hours and tougher jobs. This effectively raises the profitability of a company exponentially, and makes a workers life a living hell. We've exported so much labor and industry to get cheaper labor that all of the sudden the bulls on Wall Street had to go for another swipe at the common man, and here we have it. Layoffs - what do they mean? More money for the rich, that's what. But guess what happens when the disparity grows intolerable, or the economic model goes overboard in any direction? Our country may collaspe, for starters, but in my estimation, we will be bought out by foreigners in the next 25 years. Learn some new languages people!!!

Isn't it crazy that Congress will say they can't raise minimum wage, but their salaries seem to increase every year? And "we the people" don't even get to vote on their wage hike, but they certainly vote on ours. I think it's time "we the people" had a say in how much Congress gets paid. Maybe if they earned what we earn per hour they might get a clue as to how hard it is to get by in America today.
