If you don't mind the smell (I rather enjoy it), you can share the experience with your infant by dumping the cat litter in a soothing bubble bath.

Well first off, your PREGNANT!! Cat litter is very dangerous for pregnant woman. Why should pregnant women avoid coming in contact with cat litter? Toxoplasmosis is a common infection found in up to 40% of all cat owners. It´s a minor infection that normally does not cause any side effects at all. It comes from a parasite that lives in cat stool. However, the infection can be extremely harmful to a developing fetus. For this reason, pregnant women should turn over cat litter duties to someone else during their pregnancy. It is only the cat stool that carries this threat, so keep the litter box somewhere away from the regular family areas, and have someone other than the mother care for the box during the pregnancy period. If the pregnant woman MUST clean the cat litter, she should do so with gloves on. When she is done with the task, she should wash her hands well with antibacterial soap.

Once the baby is born, the baby and the cats can grow up together in joy and harmony. But the infection caused by the parasite is dangerous enough to be avoided while the fetus is developing.

That is the worst place I would ever think to put a cat litter box! Of course you can smell it when it goes to the restroom. Definately move the cat box to any location where you're not eating, sleeping, or just in for a long period of time and keep it clean and when you have the baby, move it AGAIN somewhere the baby can't get to it.

It's OK to smell, but gross.

I suggest a self-cleaning cat litter box and a new location. Even the bathroom would be better than under your bed.

Really shouldn't have the litter under your bed first off, and second no it's not ok for you to be cleaning it while your pregnant.
I forgot what it is that the cat carries in it's feces but it's not healthy when your pregant. Have it moved, have someone else clean it or wear something over your mouth and nose when you have to clean it. Keep that thing clean!

Pregnant women should avoid cat litter altogether because the unborn can be infected with toxoplasmosis. This is not a joke. Get someone to move the cat box and mop the floor now.

no you should not be smelling the litter box when pregnant. when the cat goes and covers it up it will create dust which you should not be breathing in.

no putting a mask on will not help (or gloves either) you should not be touching the litter box for ANY reason, not even to move it.
and yes i think it should be moved out of the bedroom.

That is just plain disgusting.
Having said that, if it is an indoor cat you have little to worry about but for the love of all that is good, move the litter box to a sensible place like the basement. Use plastic disposable gloves when cleaning it and wash your hands afterwards.
I have GOT to say this: please learn some basic hygiene before the baby arrives.

No, yes, and yes.

Most important thing is DO NOT clean the litter without gloves on, better yet have someone else clean it while your are pregnant. There is a disease that can be transmitted to your baby through the cats feces. I can't remember the name of it, but I was warned of this when I was pregnant.

You definitely should move the litter box. Baby is a little more important than kitty. The ammonia from the cat's urine can harm the baby. You don't have to get rid of the cat, but don't clean the littler box and move it to another place.

First of all, why on earth would you put it under your bed where you have to smell it when you sleep? Move it. Put it in a room away from alot of traffic. Smelling it will not hurt the baby. Messing with the cat feces is what is dangerous. Smelling it is just nasty.
