In Saw II, how did Daniel end up in the safe?

I don't get it! I know that the surveillance was pre-taped, but then when did it happen to Daniel???

he was in there the whole time. what the cops seen on the TVs was just a recording of what happened earlier.

I dont think they actually show you, but I think the girl who works for the jigsaw put him in there.
