The Little League World Series is held in Williamsport, PA every August. This first Little League World Series was played at the Max M. Brown Memorial Park in Williamsport, PA. Williamsport is the original home of the Little Leagues. The Maynard Midgets of Williamsport won the series on August 21, 1947, over the Lock Haven team.

Contrary to popular belief, the Little League World Series is NOT held in Williamsport, Pa. It's actually held in South Williamsport, Pa. -- two different towns, separated by a river. To say that the series is held in Williamsport would be as wrong as saying the New York Giants, who play in New Jersey, play in New York.
The Junior League Baseball World Series (13- and 14-year-olds) is held in Taylor, Mich.
The Senior League Baseball World Series (14-, 15-, and 16-year-olds) is held in Bangor, Maine.
The Big League Baseball World Series (16-, 17-, and 18-year-olds) is held in Easley, S.C.
