contact a local carpenter from yellow pages, have him make your frames to size then cotact a local glazier, and get him to make up double glazing panels to size, it will cost you a lot less than a double glazing company. i used a local glazier to replace 7 blown double glazing panels,it cost a fraction of the price the big companys would charge.

Most joinery firms will make and supply you with the basic frame and sashes. I used to supply a lot of windows and sashes to DIY people so you're not on your own. If you have any difficulties in fitting, you're much more likely to get the manufacturer (joinery firm) to help you out than a Superstore like B&Q. Alternatively, they'll do the whole job for you and you will at least have peace of mind that the job has been done right.

most diy stores but your have problems selling your house because windows have to be fitted by window companies to get the 10 guarantee.

Why not try builders demolition yards there are usually a wide selection available. Or try the larger timber/builders merchants
