in turco's case, winning the cup would have more to do with his teammates. he's smart, a very good system goalie, reads his defense very well, that's why he has good stats. but he doesn't have the standout talent of hasek, miller, brodeur, kiprusoff, so he isn't ever going to carry the team for more than one series in the playoffs. to win the cup, you need a goalie that can stand big against the other team's power play unit, making great individual saves game after game. if turco plays on his head like cam ward did last year and giguere did in '04, the stars could win the cup. i'd say keep him unless buffalo comes a knockin, offering ryan miller if they fail to win the cup this year.

Stick with him. He will have a fire lit under him to prove he can play in the playoffs the way he does in the regular season, and in any case there is no law that says Dallas can't win a cup with him. Your other answer had the Goalies mixed up, but indeed Belfour had the same reputation before the Stars won it all.

At 32, Turco is still a decent goalie. Stars should keep him and get some more offense to help him out.

Turco isn't that bad.
He's certainly better than most of the other goalies that would be made available in a trade.

Who ever receives McNabb, Deangelo, and Pitt's D wins the commerce. Schaub is sturdy yet Mcnabb is extra perfect and extra consistent. Turner and Deangelo are about an similar, I only pick Williams extra by way of season he had very last year. Obviouslly Pittsburgh protection is extra perfect than Minnesota's.

he wasn't with the team when they won there Stanley cup, and yes i think if he gets the goal scoring up front that can make hI'm want it more but if they fell to score again im sorry but Turco's confidence will go with it. he is a really good goalie that just needs that boost from his players.

I would stick with him...he's deffenatly one of the top goalies in the league and is consistant year in and year out...If i was Dallas i would look into maybe one more skill player who can put the puck in the net...dallas is pretty balanced but it does hurt when your top point producer is a defensman

Stick with him. He gives up 2.29 GAA which is the sixth lowest percentage in the league. He already has won the big one when Dallas won in the 98-99 season.
