I don't have an owners manual so I don't know how many cold crank amps I need.

This is not a problem sweetie. Just go to your local auto parts store. Tell them the make and model of your vehicle, they will give you a choice of usually 3 different batteries for your vehicle. I always pick the mid priced one. You don't need the highest priced, and you don't want the lowest priced. Most auto parts stores will even install the battery for free :) Have a great day

As the man said try your local parts store,Sears auto,Pep Boys, even Wal-Mart. Get the size(there are physical sizes) and then select how much cold crank amps you want.If you live in a cold climate you want more of course. Just be sure it has been pre-charged and is not a "cold" battery ( one that has only been filled with acid and not charged ) or put it on charge after installation. Sometimes batteries fail ,even new, if a cell is bad. This charging verifies it can hold a charge and lets the alternator work easier. Batteries usually only last about 3 1/2 years. Good Luck.

You should have a battery with at least 700 cold cranking amps.If you live in a climate which you have snow during the winter months, consider going higher.500 cold crank amps are for 4 cylinder toyotas...not V6 engines !

It will probably take a group 24 battery. There one of the more common ones so they'll be inexpensive but still have the cranking amps you need.

A loose crankshaft pulley isn't unique to the Trooper, or to Isuzus, or, for that matter, to imported vehicles. However, I'd imagine that the Trooper adds a whole new dimension to the mechanic's bill.

generally you want twice the cubic inch displacement of the engine. you have a small v6 so a battery with 500 cca should be sufficient. however, if you go to your local parts store they can look up a battery for you based on simple vehicle information
