We dont have to guess now, this is the effect that lack of oxygen will have on your brain!
Talk about stiffer pentalities for cocaine, what about 'space dust'.
When I first heard this story, I thought I was still dreaming....and the diaper thing,
If someone told me that story I would swear they made it up....I mean really, how long does it take to stop and take a piss?
About the same amount of time it would take to change an ADULT DIAPER in a moving car? On the occasions when I have to go to a rest area and do a ‘pee and flea’ I can be in and out of that bathroom in under one minute! It took longer for her to put on a wig and trench coat then it would have for her to have stopped went to the bathroom.
This is a comedian's dream!
I can already imagine Leno this evening.
Dont they have to go thru all kinds of mental tests and clearances to even get on the NASA property?
ON a more serious note,
I think that the major point that everyone seems to miss is that this CRAZY Bytch was MARRIED and her husband works at MISSION control at NASA TOO!
If that were not enough, she has THREE kids.
My heart breaks for them all.
If I were this woman's husband, the next time she saw me OR our kids, it would be on the side of a milk carton next to Sputnik!
She would not have to worry about saying a damn thing to me and as far as what I would say to her, NOTHING...
my lawyer(s) would be doing all of the talking. I on the other hand,
would be to busy redoing wills, comforting our kids and putting her shyt out in the dumpster, etc

Personally I feel that the attempted murder charge is a little harsh. The so called weapons she had with her hardly seem lethal. Maybe she intended to hurt Shipman but I don't think she had planned on killing her. Also Shipman said that Nowak had been stalking her for the past 2 months. Why didn't she go to the Police at that time & get a restraining order against her? Some things in the event just don't add up. I think that the media should leave the poor woman alone. I can't begin to imagine what her kids are going through seeing her picture plastered all over the TV several times a day.

Yeah I think it fits. She had a steel mallet which could only have been for smashing in the other woman's skull once she immobilized her with the OC spray. The woman is lucky to have gotten away. This astronaut did not come from the military, but from private industry for her technical skills, and that means that she was not under much scrutiny for much of her life. She seems way flaky but I am sure there will be those goofballs who think she should be given some kind of a free pass to try again.

I'm not sure about the attempted murder; her weapons were pretty much the non-lethal type, but there may be more we don't know yet. It is common to charge a suspect initially with the worst crime possible. Charges can be reduced or dropped later if warranted.
