Because Haute Couture does not design for REAL women above a size 9/10.

I have too many clothes and not too many places to wear them! I am a queen size Lady and do not have too much trouble finding clothes. I am persistant and creative, having the Internet at my fingertips and catalog shopping til I drop!

No, you won't find Prada in size 24, but you will find Venezia, Harve Benard, American Angel, The Avenue, Ulla Popekin, in that size.

There's Lane Bryant, Roaman's - the old standards. Maximum Woman, Better Half Fashion, Curvety, Just my Size, Makingitbig, Asarte Woman, Zaftique, Two Sister's Fashions, Love Sugar Pie, Pacificplex, Big, Bad, & Beautiful, Kiyonna, Sanctuarie, Monifc, Size Appeal, Big on Batik, Alight, Torrid, Jessica London, Plus Woman, King Size,(men) Liz Claiborne Woman, Silhouettes, Swimsuits For All, Casual Male, Always for Me, Myles Ahead, Igigi, 14 to 24 - true designer - the prices match!, Sandie's Boutique, Jake & Me Maternity, Nesha Plus Size Girls, Lingeriewalk, Adini, to name a few....

If the clothes "look ugly", why not dress them up with some exciting accessories!

Hey, why don't YOU become a fashion designer for we thick and fluffy ladies?

Stores stock what sells, and the size that sells the most is 9/10. Which I consider odd, since the majority of women are size 12-14.

Try Lane Bryant; they've really changed their image and have some very stylish, cute clothes.

If you just want to know why, and not where to find such clothes, the answer is that big people are a small group compared to the overall market. Besides niche producers, most clothing manufacturers aim for the maximum number of customers, and the majority of clothes buyers are small to normal sized.

I find plenty of great website for plus size clothing. You should shop for pieces classic ones that do not go out of style. A good blazer pants that fit. It is unfortunate that some catalogs use thing models to show their clothes. You have no idea what that outfir will look like But I shop junoia.com ,catherines.com, jjill.com ullapopken.com
lanebryantcatalog.com,roamans .com and silouettes.com.Pick attractive pieces and make your own wardrobe. Find your own style and accessorize with interesting pieces. Flaunt it don't hide it and people will feel your confidence.

I know I have the same problem...... It is because we are living in a society that if you are a size six you are fat, I know how it feels. You can still look great even if you are not wearing name brands!! All you have to do is find the right store and look.

Not at all. Whenever in the shop, my size is not there, they either received only one or two items and sold them out, or did not order at all; and the shelves are full of large size clothing. You should go to high street shops and look at large size clothes, not to specialized stores.
