I had a laparscopy. Generally they are diagnostic to check your reproductive organs. During mine, my doctor also put dye through my fallopian tubes to make sure there was no blockage. He also did a biopsy of my uterus lining to see if it was thick enough to sustain a pregnancy. My doctor found that I had a mild case of endometriosis during the procedure and removed it immediately. I did get pregnant the very next month. I thought it was the endo that had been interfering with conception up until that point. However, I recently saw a fertility specialist (I had been ttc again) who told me sometimes an hsg (flushing dye through your tubes) can be very therapeutic, even if there is no blockage. No one can say for sure if you will get pregnant right away. Did you talk to your doctor after wards to find out if they found anything? Best of luck to you.

What did they do during the surgery?
I had the surgery in a November, which was done to cut away some adhesion's that were causing me pain, and thought to be the reason for 2 miscarriages.
I did get pregnant in the February, but it all depends why you had the surgery, and what was the conclusion after you had it.
Additional details are needed. But maybe you should get an appt to speak to the surgeon about the results...
Good luck, hope you recovery quickly!x

I had laparoscopic surgery in november to remove an ovarian cyst and was given the ok by my Dr to start trying again. It has been 2 cycles and I still have not gotten pregnant but I also have some damage to my tubes. So I would say that everybody is different. Good Luck though

I have had 2 laproscopic surgeries and I would not recommend you getting pregnant right away. Your body needs time to heal and adjust. Also a few more details about what kind of Laproscopic surgery you had would be helpful. I had a Gall Bladder removal and a Gastric Bypass. Please keep us updated. Thanks.

depends what you had done - laproscopic surgery is simply a method of operating or examining you. Ask your hospital or GP

Not necessarily. I had two one about 6 years ago and the 2nd about 3 years ago. I got pregnant about 8 months after the second one. But it depends on what they were doing the lap for. Also depends on what they found. Go back and talk to your consultant if you are still unsure.

I had diagnostic laparscopy and partial d and c (fertility issues, but they didn't find anything) and got pregnant withing a few months after trying for over a year. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not. My doc said that sometimes if they do any scraping in there, that you can get pregnant faster, but I don't know if that is common or not.
