When you add songs to your iPod that aren't mp3's, they are converted into Apple's format (can't remember what it is). If you save your original mp3's in a smaller format (say, 96kbps as opposed to 128) the song will be smaller, but it will also reduce the audio quality of the song. This really won't be noticable if you only use headphones, but if you play it back over your car speakers, there will be a definate lacking of quality.

It is possible u just have to compress the song witha program that will make the size smaller like for example if a song is 4MB in size, after using this certain program, it can be 1MB in size..... I forgot what is the program tho.... My fren did it for me and my 512MB player now have 400 songs and still have space for a few more.....

Yes it is just get songs that arn't that long because all of the same iPods like the one you have don't all hold the same #of songs if you get shorter songs you will be able to get more songs onto your iPod!!!!

It depends on the file format and compression ratio. The more compressed the songs get, the more you can fit on your iPod...but they don't always sound as good.

relies upon on the place the archives are and how you circulate them over. you'll be able to desire to place them on your laptop in a folder or everywhere you keep them, and then on iTunes there is an determination on the record menu that asserts "Import." click that and seek to your songs. go with all of those you go with for (Ctrl+click) and then click import. it is going to say something like "changing to AAC or MP4" or something like that. click ok, confident, regardless of. it is going to start copying those songs into your library

you can compress them, or you can lower the quality of the music. for example, if all your music is at 192kbps, and you lower it to 128kbps, then you just opened up a bunch of space for more music!
