I once heard that 10% of everyone who ever lived is alive today. I don't know how accurate that is, but 60 billion would be the answer based on that.

Although it cannot be calculated exactly, many of the rough estimates are between 90 and 110 billion depends on when starts the count of 'people' and what fluctuations of population growth are assumed during the ages.
"Number who have ever been born 106,456,367,669
World population in mid-2002 6,215,000,000
Percent of those ever born who are living in 2002 5.8 "
Using the above data, but updated to 2007 it approximately will look like that:
World Population in 2007 is about 6,500,000,000
Number who have ever been born by 2007 is about 107,150,000,000 (using the above data and worldwide birth rate 23 per 1000 for the years 2002 through 2007 )
Percent of people ever born who are living in 2007 is 6.07%

There are a variety of myths on the Internet and circulated by word of mouth claiming that some extremely high percentage -- 25 to 50 to even 75 percent -- of all human beings who have ever been alive are living now. None of these estimates is correct.
Although it is impossible to accurately measure how many people have been alive, the Population Reference Bureau estimates that, starting from 50,000 BCE (when homo sapiens first appears), it is likely that more than 100 billion human beings have been born. Current world population makes up about 6 percent of all human beings who have ever been alive.

That's pretty much impossible to answer! Today there are 6 billion people alive on the planet. If you assume that there were that many people alive for the last 200 years, then 4 for the previous 800 years, then 3 for every 1000 years before that, and assuming that everyone lives until they are 60 (it wasn't always as long as people live today!), it works out at about....
.....
.....
..... A lot. Say, 500 billion people. Give or take the odd homo erectus.

In an essay I read years ago by Isaac Asimov, he estimated that some 100 billion human beings have walked the face of the earth throughout human history (existence.) In a recent post here an Yahoo! Answers, someone cited a website where the current estimate was about 106 billion. The current world population is estimated at 6.5 billion.
(The preferred wording for your question is: 'How many people have lived since....')
