Change is something that happens, we are only uncomfortable with it, when we feel we have no control of where that change is taking us, not knowing what it holds for us, i think you have answered your own question in a way because when we feel secure within our lives we would like it to stay that way, but change can also bring new and better things that we would not get to know if we continued to stay in the same place, that could not only benefit you, but also those you love.....do not always see change as a bad thing....it can also be a positive and progressive step towards something better.

Along with the others Answers, I'd add HABIT STRENGTH! After we do something so long, it becomes automatic--the old Skinner stimulus-response theory. The behavior becomes subsumed into pre-conscious level of behavior--just like walking, talking, jotting stuff down or typing our Answers to "Yahoo". We're thinking of other stuff--NOT how to type! And it is hard to pull a behavior OUT of the pre-conscious level to active THINKING about it. I can be determined to change something, and then before I know it, that determination has been overwhelmed by the old habit!! Thanks for your Q! I'm actively trying to modify MY bhr!

You got it! Change means loss of security. It complicates our daily routine.
