Man, I guess I ask this because it just blows my mind how people can be so rude. Lady ignores me but speaks when spoken to. She can be downright pleasant but next time I wont give me the time of day. I even hold the door for her and she wont thank me. All I can think is that shes one arrogant person. I feel sorry for the man in her 40 year old +/- life. Why are people so freaking rude? It isnt cute and men dont like it and Ive started giving her the same treatment. Trouble is her family is ok so I feel kinda guilty. Does anyone think maybe shes doing it for the attention? Cause Im the only one she does this crap to. Socila setting

This has been going on 3 years and it drives me nuts because it keeps getting worse. I went to a prewedding party and she was there she kept looking my way glaringly (ifelt the look) then left like 40 minutes latter.

That's a problem in life is that there are rude people out there. And to feel not being accepted by her is probably what irratates you the most. I find it best just to ignore those type of people, and it can be difficult. I think that if you start being rude back to her then you're lowering yourself to her level. Maybe she has something going on in her life that makes her that way. Use your energy in being kind and show it to someone who will appreciate it! =)

she might be one of those individuals that people have tip toed around all her life so she has gotten away with rude behavior. I am always surprised when someone gets clear up to their 40s without anyone shooting them down verbally for their bad behavior. It's very ugly behavior and if the people realized how ugly it makes them look, they might try to improve on it.
Also, its possible that what looks like rudeness to you looks like something else to her internally. Maybe she is sad or something and trying to get that across. It's still unacceptable behavior.
Anyway, all that aside. My advice to you is to avoid her. If you can't avoid her, don't initiate any conversations with her. Ignore her as much as possible. If its attention she wants, don't give it to her.
Best wishes.

Here I go----------Are you attractive because I take it you are younger than 40+ and she might be avoiding gestures thinking she CANNOT find you attractive or be BAD. You don't have time to find out if it's her religious dogma but you are so gentlemanly to keep opening the door for her. I would LOVE YOU FOR THAT!!!!
How about you quit doing it for her because it makes her uncomfortable though? Be your own sweet self, but react to her ingratitude by stopping the things she doesn't seem to want!!
Works for Me!! Being a gentleman requires a lady's presence!!
Right? @8-)

I think she secretly is in love with you. She may be so shy and insecure or embarassed by her feelings that she can't even say the simplest thing and it comes off as her being a snob.

I say this because I'm her (in a sense).

Ladies generally aren't comfortable until you speak to them. If you are sulking angrily in response that is the wrong thing to do.

Why do you go out of your way to help her?! If she's being so rude to you, simply ignore her... It's that easy.... No point in upsetting yourself so...
