I have some acid reflux problems and after taking my first active pill, I felt like I had to burp and that there was some liquid/food coming up my throat.

If I were to have burped food or liquid up, would this have affected my pill? I definitely didn't throw up but there is the slight chance I regurgitated and swallowed back down. Am I ok?

i've been on the bill for over 15 years now and have been lucky and had no problems - but i do know lots of people that have problems with the pill. you'll have to give a little while, but if it keeps up i would go to your doc and try something other than the pill.

Sometimes when a person starts birth control pills they can cause some stomach irritation. To be on the safe side you should use a second form of birth control just to be on the safe side.

As long as it stays down, it will go through your system. If it comes back up, that's another story. I knew a woman that got pregant that way.
