He is still young, I'm sure he earned his place there.

Why does everybody hate on Rex so much? In his 1st full year as a starter he leads a team to the super bowl while tying peyton manning for the most 100+ QB rating games during the regular season yet he sucks?. People only look at his 3 bad games and base everything on that. He actually was doing better than peyton manning in the postseason yet everybody was riding peyton's nuts and dissing Rex. They look at the bad game he had vs. GB completely ignoring the fact that in the 3 previous weeks he had 5 TDs 0 INTs. As a die hard bears fan you would think i would want him out but i've watched every game this year good and bad and i know talent when i see it and this kids got talent. Besides would you rather have Kordell Stewart back? How bout Craig Krenzel? Jonathan Quinn sound good? Rex is a good QB the media just likes to rip him apart so you casaul NFL fans think he sucks when you havent watched all the games hes played and I trust coach of the year lovie smith's opinion on him a lot more than i trust the rest of you idiots

Yeah, I don't get all this "Grossman bashing" either. It just makes me sick when over-weight, opinionated couch potatoes rag on some guy's butt when he has just gone 15-4 and led his team into the SB for only the SECOND time in team history!
These guys weren't the '85 Bears you know! They were bloody lucky that they were even there instead of the Seahawks this year. It there hadn't been any rain, if Hester hadn't run back that first kickoff, if Tony hadn't lightened up on Lovie Smith in the 4th quarter........ 43-10, and it wouldn't have mattered WHO was quarterbacking the Bears. Joe Montana couldn't have saved this one, this year for Chicago, it was destiny, it was fate, it was Indy's turn and they played it as well as almost any SB team in history.
If you absolutely MUST have someone to blame, don't pick on the "newbie" (who was 20-28 by the way) blame the REAL culprit for the Bears defeat - that damn Manning guy!

i have self belief he's over-rated yet he remains an above accepted quarterback. the reason i do no longer take the hype heavily is because Rex hasn't performed in January video games the position it is all on the line. human beings overlook that he don't have that a lot taking section in time below his belt. so some distance as comparing him to Peyton or Brady, the dude would not even make a wart on their a**.

Hell if I know, cause he's a total piece of crap.....even I could have played better than he did....Oh and dont go on the, "in his first entire season as a starter he led his team to a super bowl, because Chicago's defense led them to a super bowl....not Rex Grossmans silly a.ss....I bet Lovie wished he had benched his a.ss earlier in the season after all......and while I'm on the subject, what the hell kind of name is Lovie? I dont remember a black guy on Gilligan's Island.

He is young. Cut him a break. Has everyone forgotten that Troy Aikman went 1-15 his first year? I believe Rex got his team to the Super Bowl. So they lost...big deal. There were 30 other teams sitting at home.

Let's not forget that Rex was 15-4 in his first year as a starter. He will be back next year as will the Bears in the Super Bowl.

Calm down dude. This was his first full season and I'd say he did OK, don't ya think? Every QB is entitled to bad games and yes, his was the BIG ONE. Look at Peyton, his stats aren't so stellar his first couple of seasons. Look for Rex to rebound. What's great is that he already has playoff experience. If he does it with another team, so be it.

I believe that Rex Grossman:
a) Had the knees of every good QB in the NFL broken,
b) Paid to have the knees of every good QB in the NFL broken,
c) Completely and utterly threw the game to hell on purpose, or
d) This is The Matrix, and the only reason that @$$-munchin' hack could ever be let on anyone's team.

Bears fans can ***** about Rex all you want but he’s not the only reason they lost. The colts beat you at your own game; they ran the ball all over that “great” defense. The “cubs” offensive and defensive lines were dominated by the colts. Just move on and enjoy your NFC championship.
