Me and my husband are first cousins and we are thinking about gong to genetics consular, has anyone has personal experience with a genetics consular?

my husband and i have been to see a genetics councillor in the uk over our children she just gave us the ifs and but and the satistics and the percentages of risks but were not cousins our eldest daughter has a genetic illness
