well in the old days....we used to get a thing of draino..have the almost new mom pee into a cup...then add as much liquid draino to the cup to equal the urine...blue color...boy...yellowy girl...we used to do this and it always worked...really funny..I know it is not a game but it is very interesting, we also would take a pool and bet w/money on the delivery date...and then before the baby comes make sure you dispose of the left over draino..it is very dangerous to have around...!!!!

Baby shower bingo.
Identify the baby food (cover the labels with a number, give everyone spoons and a sheet to list their answers on)
Baby names A--Z (give every one a sheet to list their answers on and see who comes up with the most answers)

For prizes, usually those cheap little plastic things are used, but I thought that was pretty hokey.....what's a 45 year old grandmother going to do with a 1 in plastic bootie or baby bottle? We gave out small votive candles, small picture frames, etc. We went to the dollar store and found a lot of stuff to use for prizes.

I did a baby shower for my friend in September

1. Freeze little plastic babies in an ice tray with water, when guest arrive have them hold a clear plastic water cup with the frozen baby ice cube. Tell the person who's ice melts first to yell "MY WATER BROKE"

2. Copy the exact words the pregnant girl says while she is opening up the presents "Oh it's so cute, Ohhh it's so little, Oh I REALLY like this!" so on, etc etc. and let her know at the end of gift opening, "The words that you said while opening these presents is the actual words you said the night you were conceiving your child with your husband"

3. Get new born baby diapers and smear mini size chocolate candy bars into the diaper making it look like poop. They have to guess what the candy bar is by smelling it and looking at it! They can not touch or eat it!

that is only some....

You can buy roll of ribbon, any one you like. The you give everybody the guest too cut a piece a ribbon they think how big is the belly. Then measure and see who won. Get baby food blindfold people and the have to get the flavor. Get the guest to bring a baby picture of them and see who is who. You can may some simple necklace with string or ribbon, in a baby motive. You give a necklace to very guest. The if one of the guest see another one touching their air or crossing their legs get to keep the necklace. You make a circle and get a stuff animal and then you throw the stuff animal saying a word referring to baby. Example: Dipper, crib etc. Good luck.

Here is a site that you are going to like. It has printable baby shower games. As far as the prizes go: gift certificates, plants (tiny ones), decorative candles, etc. You want the prizes to be universal. They don't need to be baby related as such that everyone that comes may not have children. Good luck, and tell your friend congrats!

I love showers where the adults enjoy each others conversation, chat about baby life and the laughs to be found in parenting, and share some tasty treats.

If you want to treat the guests to a little gift, just fill a basket with them and have people pick one.

Wrap toilet paper around her waist and have party guests guess how many squares it is. Another one to do is to put chocolate candies in a kiddie toilet and have people guess "how many poopies in the potty"
I played these at my aunt's baby shower and everyone had lots of fun!

buy all kinds of different baby foods and have the guest taste test and see which baby food is which. *dont forget to cover the label so they don't know what their tasting*

or

put soda or juice in a baby bottle and see who can dink their drink the fastest.
