A woman after my own heart! All sorts of places give away make-up. It's so nice that some of the 'ladies' on this site could drop in to be abusive and offer their dustbins as places to help you!
On a serious note all the make-up counters know that freebies are a great marketing tool. Some require booked sessions to do a consultation but others will be filling you a bag full of things before you can say 'freebies'! The Body Shop are very good, if you say that you would like to try something before buying they will give you a sample pot or something similar.
Join your local Freecycle group, people give away things they no longer need. On my freecycle we just had an ex Avon lady shifting all her 'unused' products.
The name of the game is to ask and be a little forthright, you will be surprised by the results.
Also you can visit www.moneysavingexpert.com and search the freebies page, some helpful people post coupons where you can get free cosmetics from the big counters like Elizabeth Arden etc.

u can get a free make over but not free make up. what you could do is go to concessions say lancome, clinique or estee lauder and ask if they sales assistants the r are nice enough they will give you some

Go to make up counter in store and ask for free sample. They happy to give you some to try....

become an avon rep, u get some free make up and earn money on all the rest of the stuff, its great!

go to selfidge ground floor where u can see lots of make up shop, ask them to give u a free make up, sometimes they do promotion and sometimes u need to book appointment..

some stores give free trials where u cn test on different types of make up to c wat suit u.
often stores like John Lewis will hold trials and as well as letting u try the make up on for free they will also tell u how to apply it like an expert lol
i tried it n it really works

here is a little tip go to stores and go to various podiums such as estee lauder n clarins and as for demo/ samples of the products ur really interested in.

go to boots or superdrugs and use there free samples , and you can also get some perfumes aswell.

do not make up your eyes/mouth with testers in shops, it's an extremely bad idea as people dip they fingers in them, you don't know where those fingers have been.....
